Abstract

This study investigates the physiological and psychological effects of intense, controlled tickle therapy on stress levels in a restrained human subject. Specimen Ditria Rose, a petite female (158 cm, 49 kg), underwent immobilization in the FettishLabs Tickle Therapy Chair (FTC-9X).

Stress markers were measured before and after a session involving targeted plantar tickling following a preparatory protocol. Results indicate a paradoxical stress response: initial cortisol spikes followed by a 37.6% net reduction in perceived stress post-session, alongside elevated endorphin and oxytocin levels. These findings suggest that intense tickle therapy, when applied under total immobilization, may function as a novel somatic stress-coping mechanism.

Discussion
